Why Pro-M?

More and more babies are born and grow up in a multilingual context. Statistics of Kind en Gezin (Child and Family) show that 28,7% of the children born in Flanders, Belgium in 2018 hear their mothers speak another language than Dutch. That number is even much higher for Brussels. Multilingual child rearing confronts both parents and (child care) professionals working in the field of family support and day care with quite some challenges.
